Christina Juhlin

Author & Photographer

Hi, my name is Christina!

I’m a fantasy author writing my debut YA fantasy novel.

My writing journey began with countless unfinished stories, until my newborn’s peaceful contact naps became unexpected windows into creativity. This newfound focus allowed me to channel my diverse background into storytelling that explores the themes of nature and social injustice, where magic is woven into the very fabric of the ecosystem.

My writing draws from my identity as a multicultural queer scientist and my passion for capturing the natural world through photography and visual art. With a master’s degree in conservation biology, I bring scientific authenticity into my fantasy worlds.

I live in Sweden with my wife and son, where I work as a sustainability and climate strategist, helping cities meet their climate goals. In my free time, I do nature photography, hiking and birdwatching.

Coming Soon: Debut Novel

The forests chose her. The question is: for what?

Aria Renwood never belonged anywhere. Thirteen years of children’s homes taught her that. But when Nature begin calling her name, everything changes. Deep in Sweden’s ancient forests lies an academy built by Viking mages in an area where invisible giants and forest spirits dwell.

Nature itself has chosen Aria, but her powers refuse to be tamed. As a threat unfolds in the shadows, she must decide: will she run from her destiny, or fight for the home she’s found?
